Founding Director

Sonya Beyers transitioned from a successful career in corporate law to focus on governance, combining her legal expertise with a strong commitment to building leadership capability at the board level.

As an experienced board advisor, Sonya delivers practical governance advisory and education services tailored to each client’s needs. She brings a strategic, solutions-oriented approach to supporting boards in strengthening governance frameworks, clarifying obligations. She is also able to troubleshoot complex constitutional and legal issues as a qualified solicitor.

Sonya collaborates and works with a wide range of organisations, including government-owned corporations, statutory bodies, professional associations, public companies, charities and private enterprises.

She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA), holds the INSEAD International Directors Programme Certification (IDP-C), and is a member of the Queensland Law Society.

Sonya currently chairs Southern Cross Care (Tas) Inc., the Veterinary Surgeons Board of South Australia, and the Queensland Law Society Not-for-Profit Committee. She also serves as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of IES College, and Australian Affordable Housing Securities Ltd.

Susan Forrester AM. BA LLB (Hons), EMBA, FAICD, FGIA

Consultant

Serving on a range of corporate boards across a variety of industries since 2006, Susan is a highly respected and accomplished Business Leader, Board Chair, Company Director and Advisor.

Her background is in professional services, spanning legal, property, IP and health. She has 30 years of broad commercial experience, including a successful career as a commercial lawyer, HR Director and CEO in professional services and the finance sector.

In the listed sector, Susan has extensive experience with IPOs, M&A and associated capital raisings, investor communication and expectation management, and the cultural transformation required in taking an unlisted business into the listed environment.

Susan currently enjoys a diverse portfolio of roles focusing on the technology and health sectors. She is a sought-after strategic adviser and international advocate for improving company and board performance and decision making around the Board table.

In addition to her legal qualifications, Susan has an EMBA from the Melbourne Business School, and is a Fellow and a Councillor of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Susan is a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for significant service to business through governance and strategic roles and as an advocate for women.

 Georgia Henry,  GAICD

Georgia’s work enables executives and Boards to identify deficiencies and risks in organisation culture and transform them to create a positive, sustainable and high-performance workforce.

She believes in turning potential into performance and helping leadership teams ensure their organisation not only has a clear vision and values but also the systems and processes to support them.

With more than 20 years’ experience in human resources, organisational development and executive leadership, Georgia has worked across Australia and the Asia Pacific region for diverse national, multinational and family owned organisations.

Georgia is a graduate of AICD Company Directors’ Course; an AHRI industry mentor; a certified chair and mentor with the Queensland Government Office of Small Business Mentor for Growth Program; an approved advisor with the Advisory Board Centre; a non-executive Director for Brisbane Women’s Club; and a member of the Office for Women’s Strategic Advisory Group for Advancing Women on Boards Initiative.
